Warangal: Kamalapur Primary Health Centre officials draw flak

Warangal: Warangal Urban District Collector Prashanth Jeevan Patil came down heavily on officials concerned after he found irregularities in the stock maintenance of medicines in the Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Kamalapur mandal headquarters on Monday.

The Collector verified the stock register of medicines during his inspection at the PHC and noticed that there was a mismatch of stocks present physically and in the records. While the records showed 200 saline bottles, the PHC had just 88.

Noticing other discrepancies, the Collector directed the DM&HO Dr Hareesh Raj to submit a report comprising of stock position batch and indent-wise after thorough verification in Kamalapur PHC. "The State government was spending crores of rupees on medicines, but the staff has no concern to maintain proper records," Patil said. The Collector who verified the records of immunisation, AMC, KCR Kit etc, directed the staff to maintain them properly.

He also told them to make proper entries of outpatient and inpatient along with complete details.

The Collector directed the officials to verify stock position of medicines in all PHCs in the Urban District.
