Warangal: Lawyers protest for amendment of Section 41

Warangal: The members of Warangal Bar Association staged a protest demanding amendment of Section 41 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) at Adalath here on Friday.

The lawyers who abstained from the court demanded the State Government to respond on issues faced by the advocates. They demanded the government to withdraw the amendment to Section 41 of the CrPC that allows station house officer to give bail to accused. As a result, the advocate profession has been in a volatile situation, the lawyers said.
