Warangal: Science, technology play key role
Warangal: The present-day education is strongly linked with knowledge, skill and quality as its outcome, Jana Vignana Vedika (JVV) Warangal Urban district vice-president Dr D Prabhakara Chary said.
Speaking at a seminar on Science and Peace, jointly organised by the JVV committee and TS Residential Girls School in Hasanparthy on Monday, he said that students need to focus on science and technology as the development of the mankind was based on it. The seminar was organised as part of International Week of Science and Peace 2019 being observed from Monday (November 4).
"Discipline and hard work the two key aspects that help students excel in their chosen field," Chary said. Referring to the innovations the world has been witnessing, he said that behind all the development there was tireless work of scientists. Future depends on how well the younger generation nurture their knowledge and skill, he added.
The events and activities associated with the progress of science and technologies as well as preservation of peace and safety to be conducted as weeklong celebrations, Chary said.
He said that the objective of the weeklong programme is to promote peace. This apart, the Science and Peace programme is to focus on protection of environment, promotion of human rights, promotion of the mankind development socially and economically, he said. Chary also emphasised the need for creating awareness about science and technology in maintaining the world peace and social development.
