Warangal: Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan lauds Indian Red Cross Society effort
Warangal: The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Warangal Chapter's endeavours to inculcate the motto of Health, Service, and Friendship and Dissemination among the people by promoting the Junior and the Youth Red Cross Movement in the region has come in for huge appreciation from none other than Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan.
In a letter on Friday, the Governor lauded Warangal Urban District Collector Prashanth Jeevan Patil, who is also president of the IRCS Warangal, for stewarding the IRCS Warangal Chapter in enrolling 1.16 lakh Junior and Youth members in the region in just a short span around one month. Further, she said that the effort of the IRCS Warangal Chapter would be placed on record.
"Rich cultural heritage of Warangal is astonishing," Tamilisai said. The Governor also praised the architectural elegance of Warangal. It may be mentioned here that the Governor was on a two-day visit to Warangal on December 9 and 10.
Speaking to The Hans India, Prashanth Patil said: "Governor's appreciation will boost our confidence besides motivating us to focus more on Red Cross activities which eventually help the poor and downtrodden patients in getting blood easily and at free of cost."
