Warangal: The youth told to follow the ideals of Ambedkar
Warangal: The ideals of Dr. B R Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, are always relevant, School of Distance Learning and Continuing Education (SDLCE) director Prof Guguloth Veeranna said while addressing at a program organized as part of National Constitution Day which also marks the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution, at Mulkanoor under Bheemadevarapally Mandal in Warangal Urban district on Tuesday.
He said that Ambedkar is remembered forever as he had strived hard for the well-being of the downtrodden sections of society. Referring to the immense contribution of Ambedkar, Prof Veeranna said: "Babasaheb had strived for social justice, women education and fought for the equality of Dalits on par with other communities." Babasaheb's contribution made him an icon for marginalized sections in the country, he added.
Ambedkar stood as a beacon for other countries as well, Prof Veeranna said, referring to the yeoman service of the great leader who played a crucial role in shaping the country's future by ensuring equal rights for all the citizens. He urged the youth to follow the ideals of Ambedkar and earn name for the country. The Bahujan Joint Action Committee leader Degala Suraiah was among others present.
