Warangal: Two peddlers held and seized 26 kilograms of ganja
Warangal: The Inthezargunj police on Tuesday arrested two peddlers and seized 26 kilograms of ganja worth around Rs 52,000 from them.
The accused have been identified as Ellanki Naresh of Dharmaraopet village under Ghanpur mandal in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district and Putta Venu of Narayanagiri village under Dharmasagar mandal in Warangal Urban district.
Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Sub-Inspector M Srinivas said that the preliminary investigation had revealed that ganja is being shifted to Warangal in a car from Bhadrachalam.
It's learnt that based on a tip-off, the police intercepted a car carrying ganja near Warangal bus station during a vehicle check. The accused who used to work as car drivers decided to peddle ganja and sell it to college students to make easy money.
