Wear masks, don't move in groups says Minister S Niranjan Reddy
Hyderabad: State Agriculture and Marketing Minister S Niranjan Reddy appealed to the people to conduct themselves with social responsibility and cooperate with the government to collectively fight the spread of Covid-19.
The Minister on Monday said that the Centre and State government have announced lockdown with the foresight for the safety of people. Citizens in the State should follow the health advisories issued by the Central and State authorities.
Niranjan Reddy said shops and other outlets of essential commodities like vegetables, groceries, milk etc, will be kept open from 6 am to 7 pm. But people should not go to shops in groups and they should wear masks.
He asked people to properly utilise the rice and cash being given by the State government.
Asking people not to believe posts in social media and rely only on the official government announcements, he said, "even developed countries are facing troubles due to the exponential spread of the coronavirus. Prevention is the only way to regulate the spread of the deadly virus."
Negligence on the part of citizens would only help in spreading the virus. Hence, people should be more cooperative with social responsibility to mount a united fight against Covid-19, he said.
