Will quit Congress if Revanth is made TPCC chief: V Hanumnatha Rao

Congress senior leader V Hanumantha Rao said that he would quit Congress if the high command finalizes Revanth Reddy's name for the post of TPCC chief.

Speaking to media, Hanumantha Rao questioned the high command as to how it can select Revanth Reddy who was facing charges in cash for vote case as TPCC chief while they are many other leaders who were working loyally in the Congress party for decades.

He also said that Revanth Reddy is the person who strongly opposed the separate statehood for Telangana and also added that the high command is ignoring several leaders from backward classes in selecting for various posts in the party.

Earlier, V Hanumantha Rao announced himself as the most eligible person for the post of TPCC chief in the party and demanded the high command to give an opportunity to the leaders from backward communities. He also said that parties like TDP and BJP have given priority to the leaders from backward communities for the party president post.
