With DK Aurna in fray, BJP tries to gain upper hand in Mahbubnagar
Mahbubnagar: With DK Aruna filing her nomination as Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) contestant for Mahbubnagar Lok Sabha seat on Monday, the cadres of BJP in the district have expressed their happiness and are hoping that the party will create history by winning Mahbubnagar Parliamentary seat in the upcoming elections.
Earlier on Monday, DK Aruna along with her supporters took out a huge rally from Annapurna Gardens at Bhageeratha Colony to district collectorate and later, submitted her nomination papers to district election Returning Officer and Mahbubnagar Collector Ronald Rose.
According to political analysts, with DK Aruna coming into frame as BJP MP candidate for Mahbubnagar parliamentary constituency, the earlier equations of the TRS party and the Congress have completely changed.
"Definitely Aruna weighs heavy and fares a lot better than that of the TRS and Congress candidates. One should not be surprised even if DK Aruna wins from Mahbubnagar and repeats the history once again similar to that of AP Jitender Reddy, who had won as BJP MP Candidate in 1999," said Srikanth, a political analyst from Mahbubnagar.
As DK Aruna is a vocal and prominent leader from Gadwal is well-known among the public and the masses and her nomination from the BJP party is a big push for the BJP cadres.
This change of political dynamics in Mahbubnagar is giving jitters to the Congress and TRS parties, because the BJP party is already having the winning history from Mahbubnagar Parliamentary constituency.
"DK Aruna joining the BJP is definitely a great plus for us as we could field a fitting candidate against the TRS and the Congress. Our cadres across Mahbubnagar district are very enthusiastic and we will all work together to get our candidate win the elections," observed Padmaja Reddy, District BJP president.
Overall, the BJP which was nowhere in the Assembly elections is now seems to have got the much needed respite in the form of DK Aruna and the BJP party carders in Mahbubanagar are confident that Aruna will give a tough fight to the TRS and the Congress candidates and will win as Mahbubnagar MP in the upcoming elections.
