Woman bludgeons husband to death in Suryapet

A mentally retarded woman killed her husband by hitting him with stone here at Suryapet on Tuesday night.

According to the police, the woman who is said to be mentally ill and is undergoing treatment. On Tuesday night, she tossed heavy stone on her husband while he was asleep killing him on the spot. The incident occurred at Chivvemla Mandal of Suryapet district and the victim was identified as Venkat Reddy (52).

Neighbours alerted the police who registered a case and shifted the body to Suryapet general hospital for post-mortem. An investigation is underway.

On September 24, 2020 - a 40-year-old woman was arrested for killing her husband in Madhura Nagar, Serilingampally. The deceased was identified as N Narsimulu (43). Sunitha strangled her husband to death and later lodged a false complaint claiming Narsimulu had committed suicide.

However, during interrogation, Sunitha admitted to having killed her husband with the help of her brother Srinivas.
