Woman found raped, murdered in Turkapally village
Turkapally (Yadadri-Bhongir): Even before people could erase the brutal murder of three girls in Hazipur village of Nalgonda district from their memory, a rape and murder of a woman by unidentified persons at Venkatapur village of Turkapally mandal in the district on Tuesday midnight has once again raised the question about women's safety.
According to police, unidentified persons entered the house of the victim, K Anuradha, who runs a belt shop in the Turkapally village, on Tuesday midnight when she was alone.
The miscreants raped and murdered her by slitting her throat and fled with cash of Rs 50,000 and four tolas of gold ornaments.
Anuradha was in a pool of blood without clothes when the neighbours found her on Thursday morning.
After receiving information, CI Anjaneyulu along with SI Venkataiah rushed to the spot with the Clues team.
After collecting the evidence from the spot, they shifted the dead body to the government area hospital for autopsy.
Based on the complaint of kin of the deceased, Turkapally police registered a case and initiated the probe.
