Woman, son commits suicide by jumping into water sump in Hyderabad

A woman along with her two-year-old son committed suicide by jumping into a water sump here on Friday under Jagathgiri Gutta police station limits. The incident occurred near Shirdi Hills mosque.

It is learned that the victim, Lavanya (35) is the second wife of one Mallesh, a daily wage labourer. The relatives of Lavanya alleged that she has committed suicide due to health-related issues.

Locals alerted the police who rushed to the spot and retrieved the bodies. The bodies were shifted to a hospital for an autopsy. Further details are awaited.
