Woman techie hangs selfover fear of losing job in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A woman techie committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling in her hostel room at Gachibowli under Raidurgam police station limits on Wednesday morning.

According to police, P Harini (24), hailing from Mahabubnagar, came to the city two years ago after completing her engineering. Two years ago, she joined as a junior software developer in a private firm located in Madhapur on contract basis.

As per the contract, her term is about to expire in the month of December. In this regard, company issued notices to her and a few others. Harini was worried over losing job and went into depression.

On Tuesday, Harini without going to office, she stayed back in her hostel and in the absence of her roommates, she took extreme step. When her roommates found her hanging from the ceiling, they informed to the police.

On receipt of the information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital mortuary. Police registered a case and took up investigation.
