Women across State must live happily: Minister Gangula Kamalakar
Karimnagar: It is the TRS government's main aim to ensure that every woman and girl lives happily in the State, said BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar. On Friday, he inaugurated the Women Society and Yadav Society buildings in Chintakunta village of Kottapalli mandal in Karimnagar district. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Kamalakar said the rulers of previous governments had neglected villages in Telangana region. But after the formation of separate Telangana State, all-round development of the villages is taking place under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Unlike anywhere in the world, the TRS government is giving pensions to single women and women beedi workers. Apart from that, it introduced several schemes like Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak and sanctioning Rs 1,0116 to the parents for the marriage expenditure of their daughters. KCR Kits also are being distributed to pregnant women, he stated.
Minister Kamalakar also said that women, who are receiving cheques under the schemes meant for them, are blessing the CM and the TRS government. The government is planning to sanction double bedroom houses in the names of women besides distributing Bathukamma sarees as a gift to women during Bathukamma festival.
Zilla Parishad chairperson Kanumalla Vijaya, MPPs P Srilatha, P Karuna, Sarpanch M Manjula, MPTC P Sharada, co-option member Sabeer Pasha, MPTC Thirupathi Nayak, P Ravinder and Lakshminarayana were present along with others.
