Women pray to village God for copious rains in Khammam

Khammam: Seeking bountiful rains in the Kharif season, the women devotees of Burgumphad villager in Kothagudem district performed special pujas to the village God on Sunday.

Carrying the water pots the women devotees conducted abhishekam to the village god and prayed for rains. They told media persons that even the month of June ended on Sunday, there had been no rains in the State so far.

For sufficient rains in the State they conducted pujas and did special abhishekam to the village God, they added.
