Women, settlers to play key role in Tandur polls

Tandur: The Tandur Assembly constituency is unique in the Chevella Lok Sabha constituency as it differs from all constituencies in terms of geography, political and other factors.

The constituency has more female voters and settlers will play a key role in the deciding the outcome of the election. The town is very well-known for its unity in diversity as it comprises people belonging to all religions.

Tandur has a smaller number of voters when compared to Vikarabad and Parigi constituencies. Around 12,000 voters enrolled their names in the voters list after the Assembly elections last December.

There are as many as 1,09,553 female voters in this constituency. A total of 3,580 young voters enrolled themselves as voters and there are 5,870 voters in the constituency now. Political parties organised several programmes to attract the youth as they constitute the majority.
