Women voters to decide poll outcome in Khammam?

Khammam: In today's generation, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that women are playing a vital role in the country's future through their voting rights, and the women voters of Khammam district stand as an example for that.

In the recently-concluded Lok Sabha elections for the Khammam Parliamentary constituency, women showed more interest in using their voting rights.

In all the Assembly constituencies in the Khammam Parliamentary constituency, female voters are more than male voters and showed increased participation in polling.

With this, among all the votes cast in the Parliamentary constituency, the women voters outnumbered the men by over 40,000 votes.

There are 15,13,094 voters in the Khammam Parliamentary constituency. Among them, 7,73,503 are female voters, 7,39,525 are male voters and 66 belong to third gender. Of these, 5,59,387 men, 5, 77,812 women and 32 of third gender exercised their franchise on the polling day. With 11,37,231 votes polled, 75.61 per cent voting was recorded.
