Won't tolerate negligence on green drive: Minister Indrakaran Reddy
Nirmal: Everyone should participate in Palle Pragathi programme to develop their villages, Forest and Environment Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy at Panchayat Raj Sammelanam at Vempalli village under Hajipur mandal in Nirmal district on Thursday.
Participating as a chief guest, the Minister said if villages develop, State will develop and subsequently the entire country will develop, hence the TRS government is working towards developing all sectors.
Palle Pragathi is being implemented in the entire State like never before and the State government is sanctioning Rs 339 crore every month to the panchayats for the development of villages, he said and urged all the people to participate in Palle Pragathi programme voluntarily. Sarpanches, public representatives and officials were told to focus on sanitation, education, medical and health.
Minister Reddy told the officials and public representatives to construct dumping yards, graveyards and nurseries in the district. Ordering the officials to plant saplings to fulfil 85 per cent of the target and to protect them, the Minister warned them negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.
