Workers to strike work against privatisation of coal sector in Kothagudem
Kothagudem: The coal workers will go on strike on Tuesday against the Central government's decision of privatisation of the coal sector. The Joint Action Committee of all labour unions on Monday appealed to the coal workers to make their one-day strike a success.
The leaders of the SCCL JAC of CITU, AITUC, INTUC and HMF organised an innovated programme here before the head office of the company to attract workers and seek their support for the success of the one-day all-India strike on Tuesday. The leaders of the JAC stopped workers coming to their duties and requested them to extend support to the strike by presenting them flowers.
The JAC leaders criticised the BJP government at the Centre. They said the privatisation of the coal sector is not a correct decision. They demanded the Central government withdraw the decision immediately.
Leader of the JAC Vanga Venkat, MN Murthy, YV Rao, BV Ramana Rao, Ramtenki Ashok, Ismail, Hanif, Gattaiah, Ram Prasad, A Nageswara Rao, Sampath, Raja Rao and other leaders were present.
