World Photography Day observed in Karimnagar
Karimnagar: A picture is worth a thousand words and a single picture can express innumerable feelings, observed Joint Collector GV Shyam Prasad Lal. He inaugurated a photo exhibition and blood donation camp organised by Karimnagar City Photo and Videographers Welfare Association on World Photography Day at Press Bhavan in Karimnagar on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Joint Collector GV Shyam Prasad Lal said photo is one of a powerful medium, which can influence large number of people and can bring positive changes in the society. Photographs are the live witnesses of the past, which can be available now and in future also. With one photograph, both the government and society will respond immediately, he added.
The people will capture their memorable moments in the form of photographs, when they visit beautiful places and temples. With the changes in the present world and technology available, lot of changes also occurred in the modern photography, he stated.
Appreciating the organisers for showcasing the award winning photographs in the exhibition, the JC wished that world famous photographers must emerge from Karimnagar district and must achieve greater heights in their lives and conveyed wishes to all photographers.
Deputy Director of Public Relation Department P Bhaskar, Singareni PRO Sampath Kumar, senior photographer Ram Mohan, Karimnagar City Photographers and Videographers Association members were present along with others.
