Yadadri-Bhongir: Cops crack MRPS leader's murder case

Yadadri-Bhongir: The district police cracked the murder case of Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi leader, Pandu, of Lingampally village of Valigonda mandal and took the accused into custody. The accused were identified as Bodiga Ravinder a lorry driver as Accused No 1 and Neella Naresh, a tractor driver. Both are natives of Lingarajupally village of Valigonda mandal.

Rachakonda CP-Bhongir Zone DCP Naryana Reddy briefed about the case and arrest of culprits during a press meet held in Bhongir on Monday.

He informed that the accused murdered Pandu by beating him with sticks on the outskirts of the Lingarajupally on January 30 night and fled from the spot.

Pedestrians who saw Pandu in a pool of blood informed the same to their family members. Pandu died while undergoing treatment at Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad. The DCP informed that the accused attacked Pandu after the former obstructed illegal sand business from Musi stream by the accused persons.

He informed that police arrested both Ravinder and Naresh on Monday when they were at Gokaram bus stop in the mandal, and both of them have admitted to their crimes during interrogation.

Choutuppal ACP P Sathaiah, CI AV Ranga, SIs Shiva Naga Prasad and Sailu, Special Operations Team SI Laxmi Narayana and constables attended the press meet.
