Yadadri celestial wedding turns out to be crowd-puller

Yadadri: Amid Vedic chants and hymns, the priests of the Yadadri temple performed the celestial wedding of the Lord Sri Laxminarasimha Swamy with his consort Goddess Laxmi in Balalayam in the morning and also at Zilla Parishad High School grounds in the night on Friday.

Governor ESL Narasimhan along with the first lady of the State, Vimala Narasimhan, on behalf of State government, has presented silk clothes and Mutyala Talambralu to the deities. Earlier, the temple priests welcomed the Governor couple with Purna Kumbam and blessed them.

Meanwhile, a large number of devotees witnessed the celestial wedding performed at Zilla Parishad High School grounds in the evening. Endowments Commissioner and District Collector Anita Ramachandran presented the silk clothes to the deities.

District police under the supervision of new DCP Narayana Reddy made elaborate security arrangements on the hillock and also the school grounds to avoid any untoward incidents during the wedding.
