Yet another driver commits suicide in Nalgonda

Nalgonda: A driver of Narketpally depot Venkateshwarlu committed suicide in the Nalgonda district on Saturday. The deceased identified as driver Venkateshwarlu, was found dead in suspicious circumstance beside the office of the lorry association in Narketpally on Saturday morning.

The family members of the deceased informed that he committed suicide under immense pressure after CM KCR made negative comments on RTC strike and the future of the corporation. RTC JAC leaders condoled the death of driver Venkateshwarlu and urged agitating colleagues not to lose confidence at any cost and fight bravely and collectively till demands are met.

Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy who came to Nalgonda government hospital expressed his grief and consoled the bereaved family members. Later speaking to media, he expressed his anger over CM KCR's adamant attitude towards the agitating RTC workers.

He said that the CM KCR as a responsible person of the state should address the RTC strike issue in amicable way in the interest of 50,000 families of RTC employees in the State. He urged the RTC employees not to take extreme steps under pressure and advised them fight courageously till their demands are met.

Tension prevailed during the postmortem of the dead body of Venkateshwarlu and police arrested RTC workers to control the situation. Meanwhile, Jameel, RTC driver of same Narketpally depot died of heart stroke, two days ago after CM KCR's making comments on RTC agitation and future of the corporation.
