Yet another farmer tries to set revenue staff on fire in Karimnagar

Karimnagar: A farmer from Lambadipally village on Tuesday tried to set the revenue staff at tahsildar office in Chigurumamidi mandal after pouring petrol on them. A major accident was averted as the alert staff stopped him.

According to police, Kanakaiah (45) was angry on the revenue staff for not issuing pattadar passbook for his land and came to the tahsildar office on Tuesday, along with a two litre bottle of petrol. He sprinkled the petrol on the staff and the computers and tried to set them on fire.

The alert staff prevented the farmer and took him outside and informed the police. The cops took Kanakaiah into custody and registered a case against him.

The incident triggered a recent incident, in which Abdullapurmet MRO Vijaya Reddy was burnt alive by an angry Suresh for not issuing him passbook.

This incident made the revenue staff to panic to come to the office.
