Yoga cures chronic diseases: Collector MRM Rao

Nizamabad: Collector MRM Rao said that yoga is a discipline that must be followed lifelong and vital for health. International Yoga Day was celebrated at SVL Kalyana Vedika in Borgaon P in Nizamabad district on Friday.

After inaugurating the programme by lighting the lamp, he said that yoga cures chronic diseases and gives mental calm. The programme was jointly organised by Field Outreach Bureau Central Information, Indian Red Cross Telangana, Ayush and NYK. Yoga gurus Siddhi Ramulu and Ramchander performed yoa asanas.

Gifts were given to students, who showed good talent in yoga. Central Information Field Bureau Assistant Director I Haribabu, NYK State director Prabher Kumar, Ramana Mohan, Tirupathi, Gangadasu, Sambhaiah, 7th Police Battalion Commandant Sambaiah, NYK district officer Ramchandram, DSDO Krishnarao, Rajasheker, Basva Lakshmi Narsaiah, Palle Gangareddy, Yendal Lakshminaryana and others participated in the programme.
