Youngster booked for raping 90-year-old woman in Nalgonda

The police have booked a case against a 22-year-old youth for allegedly raping a 90-year-old woman here at Nalgonda district. The incident occurred on Saturday night but came to light on Monday.

Getting into details, Satrashala Shankar, a native of Anumula Mandal of Nalgonda has sexually assaulted a 90-year-old woman and later killed her. On Sunday morning, the woman was found dead by her daughter-in-law.

Based on the complaint lodged by the victim's family members, the police suspected that the woman might have been sexually assaulted and killed. Meanwhile, the victim's son said that Shankar has been found wandering at his house premises.

The police registered a case and launched an investigation.
