Youngsters told to enrol as voters in Kothagudem

Kothagudem: Persons who crossed 18 years must enrol their names in the voters list, suggested District Collector Rajat Kumar Saini. Speaking at a programme held at the Collectorate in Kothagudem on Friday, the Collector said that voter enrolment drive was on in the district and a special drive would be organised for enrolling young voters to increase the percentage to required level. All those who have attained 18 years of age by January 1, 2020 must enrol their names in the voters' list, he said.

Directing the Booth Level Officers to appoint supervisors in consistencies and complete the list on or before August 13, the Collector informed that enrolment centres were being arranged at every Tahsildar's office in the district. He said every officer should maintain a register for the enrolment process.

Later, the Collector and the Joint Collector, Venkateswarlu, released wall posters pertaining to voter enrolment process.
