Youth booked for raping tenant in Hyderabad

The OU police have registered a case against a youngster for raping tenant here at Lalaguda in the city.

According to the victim, the accused, Rahul, who was the son of the house owner Venkatesh Goud allegedly raped the woman residing on the first floor. Though the incident took place on October 21, it came to light on Saturday after the woman lodged a complaint with the police.

The woman also alleged that the accused father abused her using casteist slurs when she posted the matter to him.

Based on the woman's complaint, the OU police registered cases under SC/ST atrocity act and are investigating.
