Zaheeerabad Lok Sabha poll: BB Patil confident of win

Zaheerabad: B Basanthrao Patil, TRS candidate from Zaheerabad, is confident of win in the Lok Sabha elections. He is banking on the popularity of the State government headed by K Chandrashekar Rao. He is pinning his hopes on a number of schemes he secured as sitting MP. Patil said that he had got sanction for a new national highway at a cost of Rs 6,657 crore. The total length of the highway is 708 km.

Apart from it, the Central government road funds to the tune of Rs 164 crore was sanctioned for 154 km. He also got funds to the tune of Rs 362.83 crore from the Centre under national RURBAN scheme.

In addition to it, Rs 2,000 crore was sanctioned for Bodhan-Bidar new railway line, Rs 1,400 crore for Zaheerabad railway station. A foot over bridge was sanctioned at Kamareddy railway station.

Patil presented Maruti Eeco-6 STR vehicle to Telangana Rashtra Gurukula Pathasala and Kala Sahla (Girls) students at Hothi (K) village. He also presented another vehicle of same make to Navodaya Vidyalaya students at Nizamsagar. He got funds for rural development too.

The TRS candidate secured funds to the tune of Rs 26.69 crore for CC roads in all seven constituencies, Rs 1,59 crore for rural water supply and other schemes. He spent Rs 2,512.88 crore MPLADS funds during the five-year term.
