Drunken man killed his brother in West Godavari district
A drunken man has killed his elder brother by hitting him on the head with a cricket bat.
Palakollu: A drunken man has killed his elder brother by hitting him on the head with a cricket bat. This tragic incident happened at Chintaparru village in Palakollu Mandal of West Godavari district.
The deceased identified as Devabattula Prabhakar Rao (48). On the incident day, Prabhakar and his younger brother Subhakar have taken liquor. It's said that there were some family disputes between both of them.
In this context, a heated argument broke out between the two. With the outburst of anger, Sudhakar has attacked his brother with a cricket bat, where Prabhakar sustained a severe head injury.
The locals who noticed the incident shifted the injured to Palakollu government hospital. After the first aid, he was rushed to Kakinada for better treatment. While receiving the treatment, Prabhakar has died on Wednesday.
On receiving the information from VRO M Srinivas Rao, Rural SI P Appa Rao has reached the spot and inquired details with the family members. The police have seized the cricket bat which is used to murder Prabhakar Rao. Younger brother Sudhakar has escaped from the spot. Under the lead of Rural CI Venkateswara Rao, SI Appa Rao is investigating the case.
