10 lakh worth ganja seized from woman in Nellore

Nellore: Naidupet police arrested a woman and seized 95 kgs of ganja worth Rs.10 lakh from her. The accused is identified as M Radha from Chittoor district.

According to Gudur DSP B Bhavani Harsha, Radha is from Bheemaganipalli of Punganuru mandal in Chittoor district and she has been transporting ganja for sale in the town.

She, her husband Ramesh and relatives Lakshmi and Rajendra have involved in transportation of ganja stocks from Tuni in East Godavari district to other places. They were guided by Mareppa in the illegal trading,' said the DSP. A man hunt was launched to arrest other four accused, he added. Naidupeta CI G Venugopal Reddy and SI D Venkateswara Rao were also present.
