Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Tribal Welfare P Pushpa Srivani has said the State government has selected 132 government schools in seven mandals of Polavaram for development under the ‘Manabadi: Naadu-Nedu’ programme.

Buttayigudem: Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Tribal Welfare P Pushpa Srivani has said the State government has selected 132 government schools in seven mandals of Polavaram for development under the 'Manabadi: Naadu-Nedu' programme.

Launching the programme at the Tribal Girls Residential School at Busarajupalli of Buttayigudem mandal on Thursday, she said that by improving the infrastructure facilities in government schools, the government was aiming to extend quality education.

In the first phase, out of total 45,000 government schools, 15,000 schools have been selected under Manabadi programme. The government would show how it developed the schools after three years, she added.

Polavaram MLA T Balaraju said the programme was aimed to bring revolutionary change in education standards. ITDA PO RV Suryanarayana and others were present.
