Kakinada: District Collector D Muralidhar Reddy, Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kanna Babu and MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy handed over the appointment orders to selected candidates for village posts and ward secretariats at a programme organised at Rangaraya Medical College here on Monday. Two days before the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhiji, the government has given over one lakh job letters to unemployed youth in rural and semi urban areas in the state. Announcing this, Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kanna Babu said on October 2, the youth would be given job letters as declared by the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Kanna Babu said the Chief Minister had worked hard for betterment of lives of the educated unemployed youth. MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy said that CM Jagan Mohan Reddy was taken the good decision for unemployed youth. He said this credit goes to CM Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Collector Muralidhar Reddy had initiated village and urban volunteers to set up village secretariat to address the issues of people. Over 17,092 candidates have been selected for government jobs. The number of secretaries varies according to the needs of each municipality. All the successful candidates were given appointment certificates. As part of the programme, message from the CM was telecast during the event. Mayor Sunkara Pavani and Municipal Commissioner K Ramesh were present.
