3 youngsters die as motorcycle hits culvert

Nellore: Three persons dead and one hurt in a road mishap at Penchalakona in Rapur mandal in the wee hours on Tuesday. Shoukat, Abdul Azeem, Ashok and Mastan of Rapur town between the age group of 20 and 22 years have attended Moharram festivities in Obulayapalli village in the same mandal. They spent overnight on Monday and were back to Rapur on a motorcycle.

In the early hours, the vehicle hit a culvert due to overspeed in which Shoukat, Azeem and Ashok died on the spot and Mastan luckily escaped in the mishap with minor injuries. Police rushed to the spot and shifted the dead bodies to Rapur hospital for post-mortem. They registered a case on the incident.
