837 new Coronavirus cases reported in Andhra Pradesh, tally climbs to 16,934

According to the latest media health bulletin released by the state, as many as 837 new Coronavirus cases reported in the last twenty-four hours in Andhra Pradesh taking the tally to 16,934 on Friday among the 38,898 samples tested. The cases include 789 local cases, 46 migrants, and 2 foreigners.

Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, the state reported eight deaths that include four from Kurnool, two from Chittoor and one each from Krishna and East Godavari taking the total fatalities in the state to 206 and the recovery number stands at 7632 along with 258 patients getting discharged from the hospitals in the last 24 hours. On the other hand, the active cases stand at 9096 active cases in Andhra Pradesh.

Going by the district wise date, Anantapur district recorded 149, cases in the last 24 hours followed by Prakasam 136, Kurnool 116, East Godavari 56, Guntur 80, Kadapa 101. However, Kurnool is leading with 2236 total coronavirus cases.

The state has so far conducted 9,71,611 tests, which is the first state in the country to do so many tests. Meanwhile, the government of Andhra Pradesh led by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has issued unlock 2.0 guidelines in lines with centre rules and regulations.
