ACB raids Dhone MVI office, seizes 40K cash in Kurnool
The officials of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted surprise checks at the office of Dhone Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) office on Friday and unearthed unaccounted cash of Rs 40,000 and seized documents being collected by the agents on behalf of Motor Vehicle Inspector.
Kurnool: The officials of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted surprise checks at the office of Dhone Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) office on Friday and unearthed unaccounted cash of Rs 40,000 and seized documents being collected by the agents on behalf of Motor Vehicle Inspector.
Speaking to media on Friday, ACB DSP M Nagabhushanam said acting on information, the sleuths conducted surprise checks at the Motor Vehicle Inspector's office and detected unaccounted cash of Rs 40,000 from three persons, Shaik Akbar Basha, LM Ansar Basha and Mohan.
All the three people were working as agents on behalf of MVI S Siva Sankar, he said. The agents were collecting bribes from customers by setting up their office on the premises of MVI office, the DSP stated.
"We have seized unauthorised amount and some relevant documents from the agents. We have filed a case and a report will be submitted to the higher officials for initiating action," he added.
