Guntur: Former minister B Akhila Priya visited the 'YSRCP victims camp' set up at the Wine Dealers Association Hall here on Sunday and consoled them. She enquired about their problems. She also expressed serious concern over increasing attacks on TDP activists under the YSRCP regime.
She assured that TDP would go all out to extend support to them and provide protection. She demanded that the State government take steps to stop attacks on TDP activists for no fault of theirs. In a democracy, Opposition parties were essential for good governance and to prevent dictatorship, she added.
TDP district president G V Anjaneyulu criticized the attacks on TDP activists and said that it was a blot on the State government. Governments should take all possible steps to provide security to the people, irrespective of their political affiliations and not resort to attacks on Opposition party members, he added.
