Amaravati: TDP national general secretary and former minister Nara Lokesh on Friday accused Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of using his party MP Vijayasai Reddy and others to make false and baseless allegations against him for narrow political gains.

Lokesh said that all the charges being made by the YSRCP leaders had proved fake in the people's court. YSRCP failed to prove their charges regarding TTD's pink diamond and it exposed their propaganda to people.

In a statement here, Nara Lokesh offered to swear at the Simhachalam Appanna Temple that the YSRCP leaders were making fake allegations and challenged whether the Chief Minister was ready to take a counter oath on their party charges.

The Chief Minister has no respect for the Hindu sentiments going by how he had not given the declaration of faith before entry into Tirumala Temple. Now, his government appointed Karan Reddy as the vice president of TTD Hyderabad Advisory Committee even though Karan was charged with spoiling a woman's life in the name of false marriage promises.

Lokesh slammed Jagan regime for supressing the voice of the media by bringing in draconian GOs. It was alarming that journalists and journalists' associations were removed from the accreditation committees. Only 10 percent accreditations were given when compared to the previous TDP rule. Arbitrarily, new accreditations were given only to the Chief Minister's own media.

Lokesh urged Jagan rescue tomato farmers by giving them a remunerative price as tomato produce was not even getting 50 paise per kg at the Pathikonda market yard in Kurnool district. Without any choice the farmers were throwing their harvest by the roadsides.

Lokesh asked why Chief Minister was not at all trying to solve the farmers' problems. Jagan promised many things prior to the elections but after coming to power, he had thrown all manifesto to the winds. Jagan heart was not moving despite seeing the pain and suffering of the debt-ridden farmers.

Lokesh recalled that Chief Minister promised Rs 3,000 crore price stabilisation fund solely meant for ensuring good prices to the farmers' crops in the open market and establishing cold storage units and food processing zones in every mandal. Over 19 months have passed since the YSRCP came to power but none of the promises were being implemented.
