Amaravati: TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh criticised the State government for misusing the Crime Investigation Department (CID) to harass and threaten the Opposition leaders and sympathisers.
In a series of tweets on Tuesday, Lokesh alleged that the government was misusing the CID to implicate and arrest TDP sympathisers on the pretext of posting defamatory social media posts.
Condemning arrests of TDP leaders, Lokesh wondered why the government failed to order CID probe into the illegal sand mining and land grabbing which turned rampant under the YSRCP rule.
The TDP will stand by the party sympathisers Krishna and Kishore who were subjected to harassment by the YSRCP government, he said.
