Anantapur: First batch of PVKK College of Horticulture students who joined in 2016 have recently passed out with very high grade points. Consequently, after the graduation, placement cell in SBES has geared up even during this pandemic period and asked ECOCERT certifying agency to conduct an interview for the first batch students.

ECOCERT is a multinational certifying agency for organic foods, food products, cosmetics, textiles and other health promoting and immunity boosting value added products.

The college sent the entire list of 2016 batch passed out students (55) to ECOCERT for short listing at their end. They have shortlisted 19 candidates. Out of 19 called, one student abstained and 18 attended for the virtual interview. Out of them one-sixth were shortlisted in the virtual round. The selected six candidates will be attending a personal interview at ECOCERT India, Bangalore. The selected candidates will be imparted a six months training at different locations and will be named as Certifying Officers. Dr N N Reddy, associate dean, C Ramu, academic in-charge, Baba Fakruddin, officer in Placement Cell provided basic information to ECOCERT India experts who in turn conducted the interview and prepared the list of qualified candidates in the virtual interview.
