In a tragic incident took place at Korripadu in the Medikonduru mandal of Guntur district, a tenth class student attempted suicide by drinking mild pesticide after being harassed by a young man named Vara Prasad in the name of love. Her family members rushed her to the hospital where she was pronounced dead at the Guntur government hospital on Saturday evening.
Soumya revealed that she had committed suicide as she could not bear the harassment by Vara Prasad. The victim confessed in the video that she took this extreme step due to Vara Prasad and demanded to punish him severely. Police have registered a case in connection with the incident.
Guntur Rural SP has set up special forces to nab the absconding accused. Meanwhile, Tadikonda YSRCP MLA Undavalli Sridevi visited the victim's family and assured that steps would be taken to punish the accused.
