Four dead and two Injured after a car collides with a stationary lorry at Martur of Prakasam district while returning from the Tirupati after offering prayers. Police have took rescue measures and started investigation.

In a fatal road accident that took place in Prakasam district, four people were killed and two others were injured severely when a car collided with a parked truck. The accident took place on the national highway near Martur.

Going into details according to police, Venkata Vijaya Lakshmi, R. Kanakamaha Lakshmi, Balija Satyanarayana, Parvataneni from Eluru of West Godavari district, Uyyuru Chinababu from Kukatpalli in Hyderabad, Sandeep and another person are returning home from Tirupati in a car.

In this backdrop, the car collided with a lorry parked on the national highway near Prakasam district Martur on Thursday morning. All four died on the spot and two members sustained serious injuries.

After receiving the information, the police rushed to the spot and took relief measures. Police and highway crews worked hard to get the bodies out of the car. The injured were rushed to hospital. The police have registered the case and investigating further.
