Andhra Pradesh reports 553 new coronavirus positive cases, total at 10,884

Andhra Pradesh reported 553 new coronavirus positive cases on Thursday taking the total tally to 10,884. The government conducted tests on 19,085 of which 553 were tested positive including 477 locals, 69 migrants and seven foreigners.

Meanwhile, seven people succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours. So far, the state recorded 136 fatalities. Around 118 coronavirus patients have been recovered and got discharged from the hospital in the last 24 hours. With a total of 4,988 discharges and 136 fatalities, the state currently has 5,760 active cases.

With 72 new cases, Kurnool district in the state reported the maximum number of cases followed by Guntur (67), Anantapur (52), East Godavari (64), Krishna district (47), Chittoor district (42), Vishakapatnam (40), Nellore (29), Kadapa (22), West Godavari (18), Prakasam (18), Vizianagaram (5) and Srikakulam (1).

So far, Kurnool recorded 1,555 cases highest in the state followed by Krishna district at 1,179 and 1,080 in Anantapur.
