Amaravati: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said the tenders for road repairs with a cost of Rs 560 crore will be finalised by January 10 and the second round of Amma Vodi scheme will be implemented on January 11.

Addressing Spandana video conference, the Chief Minister said the state government was focusing on repairing roads at a cost of Rs 2,000 crore. He said Amma Vodi date has been changed to January 11. The beneficiaries' lists will be displayed in every village and ward secretariats from December 21. The schedule of schools' reopening, taking Central government guidelines into consideration, will also be announced on the same day.

The Chief Minister said the Nadu-Nedu works in schools should be completed by February. Collectors and joint collectors should pay attention and regularly monitor the progress of the works. He said land acquisition should be completed for all the Anganwadi centers pending construction. Anganwadi centers will be converted into pre-primary schools.

He praised collector of West Godavari district for completing the identification of required sites for Anganwadi centers.
