The government of Andhra Pradesh has made changes in the schedule of reopening of schools in Andhra Pradesh. It is learnt that the government has already announced that classes 6, 7 and 8 will start from the 23rd of this month. Recently, the government has decided to conduct classes from 23 to only 8th class students while State Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh on Saturday issued a statement to this effect.

Minister Adimulapu Suresh said that the decision has been taken to conduct classes for 8th class students from the 23rd (Monday) of this month. We are already conducting classes for students in grades 9, 10 on November 2 and the attendance percentage is increasing as parents are also willing to send students to school. He said that at this moment it has been decided to conduct classes in schools for 8th class students as well.

It is noted that 8th and 9th graders are required to attend school on alternate days, while 10th graders are required to attend every day. Minister Suresh also said that steps are being taken to organise classes for 6th and 7th class students from December 14. He said the situation would be reviewed after December 14 and a decision would be taken on the management of classes for grades 1 to 5.

Also schools are currently running every day from 9am to 1.45pm. However, Minister Suresh announced that schools would be run from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm due to fall in temperatures amid winter season.
