Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation Proposes Guidelines to the Set Up Skill Centres
Due to the recession in the country, there has been a drastic rise in unemployment, and in spite of having higher qualifications, the lack of skills has been the biggest problem in getting jobs. AP State Skills Development Corporation (APSSDC) is taking steps to train young people with the skills needed. It has already trained and employed thousands of people in various disciplines. The training has been provided by the training partners so far.

"We will set up professional development centres in 25 Parliament seats in 13 districts of the state." APSSDC chairman said
"Skills training program provides employment opportunities. We have already enrolled with various companies, government agencies and governments to provide employment and training. Foreign High Commissioners and Deputy High Commissioners are coming forward. We are discussing with them and making good decisions. We will start new government training centres soon. Details of the centres have been sent for government approval." the official asserted.
Here are the Proposals From APSSDC
* The APSDSC proposed to the government that it would be better to set up three professional development centres for each district.
* Officials are willing to set up 39 centres in 13 districts. It was decided to set up these centres mainly in government colleges.
* All 51 types of Skills Courses are offered in professional development centres such as Accounts, Aerospace and Aviation, Banking and Finance, Banking Finance and Insurance, Capital Goods, Chemical and Petrochemical, Construction, Domestic Works and Electricals.
* There are various types of training and workshops to learn more in engineering disciplines.
* The government offers jobs to the unemployed after the forecast.
* Centres already set up in many colleges with all other types of equipment. The government has decided to buy more equipment.
* When a course is completed, students are enrolled in another course.
* Constant training is provided by qualified Faculty.
