Andhra Pradesh: TTD decides to keep Vaikunta Dwarama open from December 25 for ten days

TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy said the Vaikuntha gate at the Thirumala Srivari temple would be open for next ten days for more devotees to visit through Vaikuntha. He said that he had discussed with 26 priests and taken their views. It has been revealed that the Vaikuntha Gate will be open for 10 days from Vaikuntha Ekadashi on December 25 to allow darshans for the devotees. The TTD Board of Trustees meeting was held at the Annamaiah Bhavan in Thirumala on Saturday.
YV Subba Reddy has released a white paper on assets donated by devotees to TTD. He said a white paper has been issued on 8,088.89 acres of land belonging to 1,128 properties owned by Swami across the country. He said that Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan will resume the mass wedding program for the poor, which was implemented by the late Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy. He said that it was decided to make gold plating for entrance doors and gate of the Srivari temple.
He said it was decided to make repairs to the towers in the walkway. The council also decided to run 100 to 150 electric buses for Tirumala. It was revealed that steps are being taken to provide better facilities with Rs 10 crore in the orphanage run by TTD for orphaned children. "We have decided to use solar and wind power in the temple premises and have directed the authorities to take action accordingly," he said. He clarified that steps would be taken for the preservation of Hindu religion. Subba Reddy said plans are afoot to conduct Swami's welfare in all district centres.
