The winter session of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly began on Wednesday morning for the third day. Minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy introduced the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Duty Bill in the House. The Assigned Lands Amendment Act was introduced by Deputy Chief Minister Dharmana Krishna Das. Eleven bills will be debated in the Assembly today. Polavaram, Coronavirus, BC Welfare Corporations will be discussed in the assembly.

MLA Karanam Dharmasri reminded that the late YS Rajasekhar Reddy initiated free electricity. Speaking in the assembly during the debate on the Electricity Duty Bill, he said, "Now CM Jagan is giving 9 hours quality free electricity." The 10,000 MW solar power project was hailed as a good decision. He said that there were many good points in the Electricity Duty Bill.

Minister Buggana Rajendranath said that the Electricity Duty Amendment Bill was introduced for 24 hours current along with quality electricity. He alleged that Chandrababu had pushed the power sector into losses and that there was a possibility of getting electricity for two rupees. He bought it for Rs 4.80 paise. In the past, Babu had agreed to pay around Rs 7 per unit for 4,000 MW. It was revealed that they have agreed to pay Rs 2 to Rs 3 per unit for 4,000 MW. He asked the Opposition to give any further hints and suggestions regarding the Electricity Duty Bill.

He said the bill would benefit the poor and allow them to lease land voluntarily. Rs 25,000 will be given for the leased acre land. On the other hand, government whip Kapu Ramachandra Reddy has expressed his view that the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Amendment Duty Bill will be boon for the state. He criticized members of the opposition for speaking unnecessarily without reading the bill. He said solar power was essential to provide quality electricity to farmers during the day. He said that solar power would be good for the environment and farmers.
