As well as being exposed to extreme political scandal. The war of words between the ruling opposition over this has reached a climax. However, the police department was also alerted as it was a sensitive issue. DGP Gautam Sawang has warned that stern action will be taken if attacks on temples are committed. The DGP directed that tight security be put in place at all temples and places of worship in the state. The DGP said that continuous surveillance, patrolling and visual policing has been ordered at temples and places of worship. The DGP said it is everybody's responsibility everyone to guard the sanctity of temples.

DGP Gautam Sawang urged the priests and working in the temples and the temple administrators to be vigilant at all times. If you find any suspicious people anywhere, call the police or dial 100 immediately. Clear instructions have been issued to all districts to monitor the security measures of all temples across the state. Suggest that each temple be geo-tagged and CCTV cameras set up. DGP Gautam Sawang has warned that some mobs in Andhra Pradesh, a symbol of religious harmony, are deliberately trying to disrupt peace and harmony between religions. I

Meanwhile, Vizianagaram district police are conducting a full investigation into the Ramateertham incident. Already 21 people have been arrested and are being investigated. Police have also collected evidence related to the destruction of the idol of Lord Rama. Police seized the head part of the idol of Lord Rama in the temple pool and collected the hacksaw blade there. The temple lock, which was broken by the thugs, was also taken to the forensic lab. Officers who collected the fingerprints from the suspects are comparing them with the fingerprints on the evidence found at the scene.
