AP government acquires Hathiramji Mutt lands and suspends Mahanti Arjun Das

The Andhra Pradesh government has taken a crucial decision in the matter of Tirupati Hathiramji Math lands estimating crores of rupees. The suspension was issued against the petitioner Mahanti Arjundas over the alleged misappropriation of crores of math land. In his place, the government gave additional responsibility to Srikalahasti EO to look after the math programs.

The Hathiranji Mutt lands near Tirupati have been the subject of large-scale invasions over the past few years. Hundreds of crores of Hathiramji Mutt lands have been wiped out by the land mafia. The burglars created fake documents.

The Ashram has reportedly disobeyed the court orders and did real estate with the lands.
